Robot Chicken DC Comics Special è il miglior prodotto d’animazione televisiva del 2012: agli Annie Awards 2013, i più importanti premi americani dedicati all’animazione cinematografica e televisiva, l’episodio speciale di Robot Chicken, trasmesso in America su Cartoon Network il 9 settembre 2012, ha battuto Archer, Bob’s Burger, Motorcity, Mad e South Park. Quest’ultimo può comunque festeggiare per il premio ricevuto da Trey Parker per la migliore sceneggiatura di un prodotto d’animazione televisiva (South Park: Jewpacabra). Bene anche SpongeBob, Tron: Uprising e Dragons: Riders of Berk: How To Pick Your Dragon.
