WGA Awards 2014, nomination: Breaking Bad e Modern Family contro House of Cards e Orange is the new black
Ai Writers Guild of America Awards si ripete la sfida tra Netflix e le reti tradizionali e via cavo. Le serie con più candidature sono Breaking Bad e Orange is the new black.
Sono stati resi noti dal sindacato scrittori americani i programmi e le serie televisive nominate ai WGA Awards 2014, i premi assegnati alle migliori sceneggiature del 2013. La situazione è pressoché identica ai PGA Awards 2014: Netflix fa incetta di candidature (sette) e le tv via cavo nelle categorie drama e quelle tradizionali nelle categorie comedy cercano di frenarne l’avanzata.
Tra i drammatici la sfida sembra essere tra Breaking Bad, nominato quattro volte (miglior drama e miglior episodio di serie drammatica x 3 – ma non per il finale!!! -) e House Of Cards, nominato tre volte (miglior drama, miglior nuova serie, miglior episodio di serie drammatica). Gli outsider sono i soliti noti: Homeland, Mad Men e The Good Wife. Fuori, rispetto allo scorso anno, Boardwalk Empire e Game of Thrones.
Tra le comedy guida Orange is the new black con quattro candidature (miglior comedy, migliore nuova serie e miglior episodio di serie comedy x 2). La rivale numero uno è Modern family (miglior comedy, miglior episodio di serie comedy x 2), mentre gli outsider sono 30 Rock e Parks and Recreation. Fuori, rispetto allo scorso anno Girls e il vincitore Louie (non aveva prodotti originali per candidarsi).
Prima di lasciarvi alla lista completa dei nominati, ricordiamo che i vincitori saranno annunciati sabato 1 febbraio 2014 con una cerimonia simultanea a Los Angeles e New York.
