Game of Thrones si è aggiudicato tre premi per i migliori effetti visuali ai VES Awards 2014
Sono stati annunciati i vincitori dei VES Awards 2014, i premi assegnati dalla Visual Effects Society ai migliori effetti televisivi, cinematografici e pubblicitari del 2013.
Nelle categorie tv trionfa Game of Thrones che si porta a casa tre premi, quello per i migliori effetti visivi di un programma televisivo (per l’episodio Valar Dohaeris), quello per il miglior ambiente creato per un programma televisivo e/o pubblicità (per l’episodio The Climb) e quello per il miglior compositing di un programma televisivo e/o pubblicità (per l’episodio The Climb). Tutte le altre serie tv sono rimaste a bocca asciutta ad eccezione di Banshee, che con il pilot ha vinto la categoria Supporting Visual Effects.
